This smile is because we tore up the homeschooling schedule today. This smile is because we decided to focus on what really matters: self care, service, and everything that fills our souls. Because yesterday was all about work meetings, school work, schedules and demands...and by the end of it, I was going off the rails. Yesterday, I did not have a smile on my face and neither did my kids.
At the end of this crazy time, I want to be able to say that I used this pause from our everyday madness to connect with my kids, reach out to our family, friends, and neighbors and to SLOW down. My smile is because I realized that how we spend this time is a choice and that feels really good.
