OMP Hiking Trips: Summer 2022
Waterfalls and Swimming Holes
DETAILS:
Who: for rising 6th - 8th graders
What: 6-9 mile hikes within 1.5 hours from Portland
When: Saturday, May 28th
Friday, July 1st
Friday, July 22nd
Saturday, August 6th
Why: Because unplugged time outdoors is fun. And your tween/teen will remember that through this program. ;)
Cost: $75 per day (trips will be 7 - 8 hours including travel)

Jill McMahon
CPR/First Aid Certified
Wilderness First Aid Certified (as of April)
Jill is the founder of Outdoor Movement Project. Since 2014, she has created programs that connect kids outdoors. She also explores new trails and writes about them through her blog. Jill's son Henry is a rising 6th grader and her son Finn is a rising 9th grader. Spending time outdoors with others is where she feels most alive.

Meg Gorsline
CPR/First Aid Certified (as of March)
Meg is an avid hiker who loves getting kids active outdoors and, as a former archaeologist, is comfortable and experienced working outdoors in any weather. Originally from Michigan (with a looooong layover in NYC), Meg moved to Portland two years ago. Having spent her childhood summers on a lake in Franklin, ME, she is thrilled to have fulfilled her lifelong dream of moving her family to Maine. Meg is the mother of two daughters - Juna, a rising sixth grader, and Sonic (née Annie), a rising 3rd grader.
